COOK WANTED – FULL TIME

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Cook to join Mexican restaurant. This is a great prospect for cookery students who want to gain valuable hands-on experience in a rapid-paced kitchen while preparing fresh, delicious food for our customers.

As part of our kitchen team, you will help prepare and cook Mexican dishes, maintain high food-quality standards, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and work closely with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

What we’re looking for:

● Cookery students are encouraged to apply

● Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience preferred

● Experience preparing and cooking food in a busy restaurant environment

● Mexican cuisine experience is an advantage

● Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques

● Ability to follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards

● Fast learner with a positive attitude

● Hardworking, reliable, and responsible

● Good time management and organizational skills

● Able to work efficiently during busy service periods

● Strong attention to cleanliness,



hygiene, and food safety

● Able to work independently and as part of a team

● Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings

● Valuable communication skills and a willingness to learn

Key responsibilities:

● Prepare ingredients and assist with daily food preparation

● Cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards

● Ensure food is prepared and served on time

● Maintain consistent quality, taste, and presentation

● Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized

● Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures

● Monitor stock levels and inform management when supplies are running low

● Minimize food waste and use ingredients responsibly

● Support the kitchen team during busy periods

● Complete cleaning and closing duties as required

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
