We are a small, family-run property maintenance and renovation company looking for an experienced and reliable Handyman to join our team on a casual basis. You will be working across property maintenance, repairs and renovation projects, completing both smaller handyman jobs and assisting with larger renovation works. We are looking for someone who is confident across a broad range of maintenance and handyman tasks and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work.
Key responsibilities
General property maintenance and repairs
Carpentry and door repairs
Patching and minor plastering
Painting and preparation
Flyscreens, locks and window repairs
Skirting boards and trims
Cabinetry adjustments and repairs
Minor paving and external maintenance
Demolition and renovation works
Assisting other trades on larger renovation projects
About you
Have solid experience across a variety of handyman/property maintenance works
Have your own reliable vehicle and tools suitable for the role
Hold appropriate insurance
Be reliable and able to work independently
Be well presented, skilled and respectful
Be well spoken and comfortable dealing directly with clients, tenants and property managers
Have positive problem-solving skills and use common sense onsite
Take pride in workmanship and leave properties clean and tidy
Be honest about what you do and don't know
Be willing to communicate if you encounter something unexpected or need advice
