Blue Shield Family General Practice is seeking a skilled, reliable and motivated Registered Nurse / Practice Nurse to join our friendly, established two-doctor general practice in Kogarah. This is a part time position with a minimum of 18 hours per week, suitable for an RN who enjoys general practice nursing and working as part of a small, supportive team.
Key responsibilities
Immunisations and vaccine administration
Wound care and dressings
Chronic disease management and care-plan support
Health assessments
Patient observations and clinical triage
ECGs, spirometry and other routine clinical procedures
Assisting doctors with minor procedures
Recall and reminder management
Vaccine inventory and cold-chain management
Maintaining the resuscitation trolley and emergency equipment
About you
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Robust organisational and time-management skills
High attention to detail and accurate documentation
Ability to prioritise clinical responsibilities and work independently within scope of practice
A reliable, professional and team-focused approach
Good computer skills and ability to work with general practice software
Previous general practice nursing experience, immunisation qualifications and familiarity with primary care systems are highly regarded
