About the Company
Join an engineering design team known for their expertise in the minerals refining industry and contribute to technically demanding projects with practical, real-world impact on industrial processing performance.
About the Role
On a typical day you will work closely with engineers and project managers to prepare and develop process and hydraulic calculations, interpret modelling results, and prepare transparent technical documentation and reports. Your process and hydraulic modelling experience will be highly valued for the insights it brings to improving efficiencies, maximising product value and minimising environmental impact.
You will contribute to project planning, participate in client meetings to ensure models align with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
This full-time, on-site position is based in Myaree, 20 minutes south of the Perth CBD or Bunbury, Western Australia. Will consider applicants from Brisbane or greater Queensland.
Responsibilities
Build hydraulic models in order to perform detail design calculations.
Build SysCAD models and perform process simulations.
Lead the development of Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs;, mass and energy balances,
process descriptions and control philosophies.
Improve operational performance through trade-off studies, debottlenecking assessments and process optimisation activities.
Facilitate and contribute to risk workshops and design reviews.
Prepare technical reports and study deliverables.
Expectation as a senior engineer is to peer review others' work.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in chemical or process engineering recognised by the Institute of Engineers (Australia).
