Senior Estimator | Commercial & Industrial | Brisbane

You may already be operating as a Senior Estimator, or you may be an experienced Estimator ready for more ownership.

Either way, you need to be capable of picking up a D&C; tender and running with it. That means understanding the drawings, knowing where the risk sits, getting proper trade coverage and putting forward a price the business can confidently build.

About the Role
Working closely with the construction and leadership teams, you will:
Lead tenders from initial review through to final submission
Complete take-offs and prepare detailed estimates
Develop trade scopes and manage subcontractor pricing
Review design documentation and identify gaps
Assess buildability, methodology and programme requirements
Manage tender risk, clarifications and exclusions
Contribute to value engineering and design development
Present pricing recommendations to management
Hand awarded projects across to the delivery team

This is more than processing numbers. You will have input into how projects are priced, where risk is carried and how the final offer is put together.

The people making the decisions remain close to the work. You will deal directly with experienced construction specialists and have the prospect to influence how tenders are approached.

About you
You will need:
Estimating experience with an Australian commercial head contractor
Experience pricing D&C; projects
A positive understanding of construction methodology and buildability
Established subcontractor knowledge across the SEQ market
The ability to manage several tenders without losing detail
Clear written and verbal communication
The confidence to challenge pricing, design and delivery assumptions

Applicants without local head-contractor estimating experience are unlikely to suit this role.
