This is a remote position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a full-function accounts process,

Including Accounts Payable & Receivable
Enter supplier invoices and purchase orders
Process supplier payments
Create and issue invoices
Send payment reminders and follow up outstanding accounts
Prepare supplier payment schedules and ABA files

Reconciliations & Financial Processing
Perform bank reconciliations
Reconcile balance sheet items
Reconcile inter-entity loans
Perform operational reconciliations
Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances

Payroll & Superannuation
Process payroll
Process superannuation payments
Prepare superannuation summaries

Month-End & Reporting
Prepare month-end accounts
Prepare management reports and supporting worksheets
Prepare and review Profi t & Loss and Balance Sheet reports

Australian Compliance
Prepare Instalment Activity Statements and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Apply knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation concepts
Work with Australian taxation entities and processes

Client & Team Communication
Communicate with clients to request and provide required information
Work collaboratively with the existing bookkeeping team




Participate in regular team meetings and communication
Perform other duties or related tasks as assigned by the client

Requirements
Previous accounting and/or bookkeeping experience, preferably with Australian taxation entities.
Solid understanding of Australian accounting and taxation concepts and terminology
Experience with Xero and Xero Tax
Experience with Australian BAS, GST and PAYGW requirements, or the ability to learn these.
Solid attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Offi ce, particularly Excel
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is desirable.
Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for regular team communication and meetings.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field is preferred.
Previous audit experience is desirable.
