SHEET METAL FABRICATOR / WELDER

THE ROLE
Sheffield Fabrications is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder to join its Bibra Lake workshop.
This is a hands-on role suited to a practical tradesperson who enjoys working with metal, producing quality fabricated products and taking pride in their workmanship. The successful candidate will ideally have sheet metal fabrication experience combined with MIG/TIG welding skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret workshop drawings and measurements
Measure, mark out, cut, fold and form sheet metal
Fabricate components and assemblies to specification
MIG and/or TIG weld fabricated components
Work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
Use workshop machinery and hand tools safely
Grind, finish and prepare fabricated products
Check dimensions, quality and finished workmanship
Work independently while contributing to a productive workshop team
Maintain a clean, protected and organised work area

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and hands-on, with a genuine interest in fabrication.
You will ideally have:




Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication or metal fabrication
Solid MIG and/or TIG welding ability
Ability to read drawings and work accurately from measurements
Good understanding of fabrication processes
Robust attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A robust safety focus
Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic

Trade qualifications are highly regarded, however, proven industry experience and practical ability will also be considered.
