Project Manager – Solar & BESS

Victoria | Full-time permanent | Regular NSW site travel The Chance

My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale solar and BESS hybrid project in NSW.

The project is in the early stages of construction, with activity expected to ramp up later this year. Based from the Victorian office with regular travel to site, this permanent role will take ownership of delivery through construction, commissioning and operational handover.

Reporting to the Head of Construction, the role will have a strong focus on contractor performance, commercial risk and complex downstream contractual arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
Lead project delivery across safety, schedule, budget and quality.
Manage downstream contracts, contractors and delivery partners.
Coordinate interfaces across multiple construction packages.
Manage commercial risks, variations and claims.
Maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts and risk registers.
Monitor construction progress and contractor performance.




Lead internal and external stakeholder engagement.
Ensure compliance with HSEQ and contractual requirements.
Report on progress, costs, risks and key project issues.
Manage commissioning, close-out and operational handover.

About You
Strong experience delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
Renewable energy experience is preferred, particularly solar and BESS.
Proven construction and project-delivery capability.
Solid commercial and downstream contract-management experience.
Confidence managing contractors, claims and project risks.
Effective leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
An engineering or related qualification is desirable.
Full Australian working rights and a current driver’s licence.
Willingness to travel regularly to the NSW project site.
