An excellent career prospect exists within our Human Resources Team, reporting to the Human Resources Manager, for an experienced full-time Work Health and Safety Officer. The role involves working across our entire range of operations; farming, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and dispatch.
Your role in our team:
Maintain up to date documents, registers and records
Incident and risk management
Support and implement WHS policies
Support Workers Compensation and Return to Work programs
Contractor and visitor management from induction to compliance
Employee engagement at all levels from worker to executive. Support and co-ordinate HSR’s
Site visits and compliance
Promote a protected workplace culture.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and preparation of recommendations.
Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and improvement.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of associated WHS legislation, regulations and standards.
Knowledge of Workers Compensation Legislation and relevant SIRA training
Experience in the provision of safety reporting including audits, investigations, inspections and the effective close out of corrective actions.
Preferred - Diploma or higher of Work Health and Safety or related discipline.
Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical screening and police check.
This position is Permanent Full Time Role.
Due to our bio-security regulations and standards we require that our staff do not have other exposure to pigs or poultry outside of our work environment.
