Sharp & Carter is partnering with a highly regarded Queensland-based organisation to recruit a Principal Risk & Governance Officer for a temporary assignment.

This is an excellent prospect for a seasoned risk and governance professional to join a collaborative team and play a key role in strengthening risk management, governance practices and organisational performance. Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide trusted advice, drive risk reporting initiatives and contribute to a solid risk-aware culture across the organisation.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the Governance, Risk & Planning function, this is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys partnering with leaders, influencing decision-making and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the coordination of enterprise risk management reporting and framework reviews.
Prepare high-quality board and committee papers, reports and briefing documents.
Provide expert advice on risk identification, assessment and treatment strategies.




Conduct reviews of processes, controls and operational activities to identify improvement opportunities.
Support business continuity planning and enterprise-wide risk initiatives.
Contribute to policy, framework and procedure reviews relating to governance and risk management.

About You
Demonstrated experience working within enterprise risk management, governance, compliance or audit environments.
Strong experience monitoring, reporting and managing organisational risks.
The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across a business.
A sound understanding of how organisational systems, controls and processes contribute to business performance.
