About the role
DHDS is a leading Australian engineering and manufacturing company supporting customers across the engineering and aluminium smelting industries. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and hands-on Biochar Production Worker to operate and monitor our biochar production equipment at our Thomastown facility. This is a full time day shift position available for an immediate start. The successful applicant will help maintain secure, productive and consistent biochar production.
Key responsibilities
Operating the plant through HMI and PLC control systems
Monitoring process conditions and adjusting operating parameters
Completing production records
Handling materials and finished product
Performing routine equipment checks
Promptly reporting faults or maintenance issues
About you
Demonstrated experience operating and monitoring HMI and PLC-controlled equipment
Experience in manufacturing, production, process plant or similar industrial operations
Ability to start,
stop and monitor plant equipment and adjust operating parameters within approved procedures
Ability to recognise alarms, process deviations and equipment faults, undertake basic troubleshooting, and escalate issues appropriately
Ability to complete production logs, equipment checks and other operational records accurately
Mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools
A current forklift licence and warehouse or materials-handling experience are highly regarded
Physical fitness for manual handling duties
A strong commitment to safety, quality, housekeeping and environmental procedures
Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A current driver's licence and reliable transport
