The Role
The role involves the development, delivery and continuous improvement of imagery intelligence (IMINT) and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) training for members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Australian Public Service (APS). Primary responsibilities include face-to-face and virtual instruction, development and validation of training materials, assessment design, learner performance monitoring and instructional mentoring.
You will also undertake course management responsibilities, including coordination of training resources, student administration, instructor workforce support, stakeholder engagement and contribution to the modernisation of imagery intelligence training. The role requires maintaining currency in imagery analysis methodologies and ensuring training remains aligned with Defence capability requirements.
About our Team
Imagery Intelligence Wing is responsible for developing and delivering IMINT and GEOINT training in support of Defence targeting and intelligence capability. The team provides foundational instruction to intelligence personnel, develops contemporary learning products,
and ensures training reflects current operational requirements, emerging technologies and best practice analytical methodologies.
The wing contributes to the career development of Defence intelligence personnel through instructional excellence, curriculum development and capability enhancement, supporting operational, strategic and whole-of-government intelligence outcomes.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate possesses:
Extensive experience in IMINT, GEOINT or related intelligence disciplines.
Proven ability to deliver instruction in an adult learning workplace.
Experience developing, reviewing and evaluating training programs, assessment tools and learning resources.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across APS and ADF workforces.
The ability to work independently while exercising sound judgement and accountability.
Experience mentoring instructors and fostering a high-performing training culture.
