Sydney-based hospitality group, Liquid & Larder, is on the lookout for a reliable and driven Kitchen Porter to join the team at The Gidley. This is an significant role within the kitchen, with genuine opportunities to grow for those with the right attitude and drive.

About The Venue

The Gidley, located in Sydney’s CBD on the corner of King and Elizabeth, is an opulent steakhouse where fine dining meets semi-respectable displays of gluttony.
Guests descend a dimly lit staircase into the Lounge Bar an intimate space of plush furnishings and quiet corners before moving into the lavish Dining Room, where prime cuts and bold reds meet the spirit of golden-age hospitality.

About The Role

To thrive in this role, you’ll be consistent, hands-on, and ready to get stuck in. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are key as you support a fast-paced, high-performing kitchen.
Previous experience in a busy kitchen is preferred, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards across all areas. And most importantly, you’ll enjoy being part of the team.

Your Day-to-Day
Keep dishes, pots, and pans clean and service-ready
Manage rubbish and recycling efficiently
Maintain a clean, secure, and organised kitchen setting




Support chefs and the wider team as needed
Close down the kitchen to a high standard each shift
Contribute to a positive and team-oriented team culture

About You
Experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role
Calm, reliable, and team-focused
Strong attention to detail
Organised with good communication skills
Available for a flexible roster, including weekends, mornings, and evenings
