Our client is a Furniture retail business in Fortitude Valley looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support their established Store Manager and drive the store's performance. This is a genuine second-in-command role within a supportive team environment, offering the chance to lead from the shop floor, develop your leadership skills, and progress toward Store Management. The permanent position is based on a Tuesday to Saturday roster, with a salary of $65,000 to $70,000 plus superannuation + Store Incentives.
Lead and motivate the team on the shop floor, with genuine responsibility for store performance in the Store Manager's absence
Tuesday to Saturday roster with Sunday and Monday off
Solid Store Manager and established team in place, creating a supportive setting to develop your leadership capability

Preferred Requirements
Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, 2IC, or Supervisor,



or strong Senior Sales background with demonstrated leadership potential
Proven track record in sales with the ability to drive KPIs and targets consistently
Confident in coaching, motivating, and developing team members
Robust customer service skills and a hands-on approach to leading from the shop floor
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional presentation and customer-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail management or supervisory roles within a sales-driven environment
Background in furniture, homewares, interiors, or other consultative retail (advantageous but not essential)
Demonstrated ability to manage stock, visual merchandising, and day-to-day store operations
