Engineering Manager, Brownfield Projects

We are seeking an Onsite Engineering Manager to act as the site-facing engineering interface on a major operating industrial facility in Central Queensland.

/n

This is a role for someone who enjoys being on the plant, not behind a desk in a project office. You will be the trusted engineering point of contact for site stakeholders, shaping brownfield and Management of Change (MOC) work from first identification through to packaged delivery by a global engineering team.

What you will do

/n

/n
Act as the primary onsite engineering contact for project, operations and maintenance stakeholders

/n
Identify, prioritise and scope brownfield, MOC and small-to-medium engineering packages

/n
Lead site walkdowns and capture field data, constraints and assumptions

/n
Translate site requirements into transparent, complete engineering inputs for an offshore delivery team

/n
Coordinate package kick-offs, work packaging, discipline alignment and delivery planning

/n
Manage technical queries, review comments and issue resolution between site and the design team

/n
Track progress, actions, risks and decisions across multiple packages

/n




Build client confidence through visible ownership, responsiveness and clear communication

/n/n

What you will bring

/n

/n
An engineering background from any discipline, with genuine exposure to Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) scopes

/n
Solid experience on brownfield, live plant or heavy industrial sites

/n
A working understanding of MOC-driven engineering, site constraints and operational safety

/n
The ability to convert site inputs into explicit engineering deliverables and well-defined scopes of work

/n
Confidence engaging operations, maintenance, reliability and project stakeholders

/n
Experience coordinating with offshore or remote engineering teams will be highly regarded

/n
RPEQ registration, or experience working alongside RPEQ and local compliance partners, is an advantage but not essential

/n/n
