Port Pirie Regional Health Service operates a medium-complexity chemotherapy and oncology service supporting cancer patients across the Mid North region of South Australia. The service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the oncology team on a contract basis. In this role, you'll deliver chemotherapy treatments, manage infusion services, and provide essential support care to patients navigating their cancer journey in a team-oriented, clinically focused setting.
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex infusion therapies including oral and intravenous treatments
Provide specialised support care including PICC and port management, blood transfusions, and pump disconnects
Work within a medium-complexity oncology service serving a regional community with structured clinical support

Preferred Requirements
Current CVAD (Central Venous Access Device)



certification and demonstrated competence in line management
ADAC (Australian Drug Administration Competency) or equivalent chemotherapy administration qualification
IQuemo certification or equivalent oncology-specific training
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to recognise and respond to adverse reactions in a chemotherapy setting
Experience working in an oncology or infusion service workplace

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Post-graduate qualification or active study in oncology nursing or cancer care
Additional certifications in chemotherapy safety or infusion therapy management
