Family Doctors @ Tuggerah is a family orientated General Practice situated in Westfield Tuggerah. We are currently seeking an experienced medical receptionist on a casual basis to work two days a week (currently Thursday & Friday but may change), with flexibility to cover additional days as needed for staff on sick leave or holidays on an ongoing basis.

Experience with Best Practice Medical Software is preferred, must be computer savy with experience with word, excel and outlookalong with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Opening and closing the Practice

/n
Scheduling appointments for current and existing patients.

/n
Attending to patients face to face, over the telephone and by emails.

/n
Responding to all correspondence through faxes, emails and by phone.

/n
Thorough understanding of the Medicare Benefits schedule

/n
Experience in medical billings: Accounts / Invoices/ Workers Compensation.

/n
Making Patient claims to Medicare

/n
Medicare easy claims and batch resubmissions and reconciliations

/n
Close of day procedures

/n
Previous medical centre experience and a working knowledge of Best Practice software is a must, with working knowledge of Excel and word.

Must be computer literate

/n
Strong attention to detail and accuracy is necessary.

/n
Excellent verbal, written communication skill and skilled phone manner.
