Job Description

We are currently recruiting for skilled and reliable formwork and concreters to join a team working on the William Jolly Bridge for the Brisbane City Council. This is an essential infrastructure project focused on concrete repairs and site maintenance.

Shift & Location Details: Location: William Jolly Bridge (Onsite parking provided with daily travel allowance) Roster: 4 x 9.5-hour days, 6am to 4pm Overtime: Opportunity to work the 5th day for overtime.

Key Responsibilities

/n

Inspect various concrete structures, specifically identifying zones requiring remediation, such as bridge sections deteriorating due to oxidized internal steel.

/n
Undertake comprehensive concrete restoration duties, including: Utilizing jackhammers and grinders to break out compromised concrete material.

/n
Preparing surfaces for repair through sandblasting methods.

/n
Applying gunite (sprayed concrete) for structural restoration purposes.

/n
Implementing boxing and screeding to protect and resurface repaired segments.

/n
Accurately measuring, shaping, and cutting metal or timber components.

/n




Operating effectively within an encapsulated work environment.

Requirements

Essential: Proven experience working with formwork and concrete - highly advantageous to have bridge remediation experience Working at Heights White Card Reliable transport

/n
Highly Desirable: Trade Qualified in either Formwork, Carpentry or Concrete Dogman Ticket Reliable, safety-focused, and ready to work in a team environment.
