They are looking to hire someone at the2–5 PQE level, to be based in theirMelbourne or Sydneyoffice.
We're seeking a proactive and commercially mindedgeneralist commercial lawyerto join a small but dynamicLegal, Risk & Compliance team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Legal & Risk Officer, this role offers exposure toa broad range of in-house legal matters across a national business, with real visibility and influence.
This role will give you the opportunity to act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, work on interesting and diverse projects across the organisation, and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business.

About the Role
Providecommercial, pragmatic legal adviceto internal stakeholders across the business
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range ofcommercial agreements




Support the Chief Legal & Risk Officer onstrategic projectsand initiatives
Build strong relationships with multiple business units and develop a deep understanding of their operations
Identify opportunities where the legal function canadd value and improve processes
Work across legal, risk and compliance matters in abroad generalist capacity
What type of person will be successful?
Admitted as a lawyer in Australia with a current practising certificate
2+ years PQEgained in private practice or in-house
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to deliverpractical, business-focused advice
Proactive self-starter who can manage multiple matters autonomously
Comfortable working in afast-paced environmentwith competing priorities
Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders
