An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Facilities Management professional to join a national organisation to manage its significant precinct in North Sydney.
n
This role will manage the presentation and maintenance of multiple buildings with a high concentration of users. You'll act as the key face of the precinct, managing a team 5 in-house FM personnel, plus outsourced contractors to maximise service delivery, operational compliance, asset performance, and continuous improvement initiatives with FM processes and procedures.

The Prospect
n
Reporting into the National Facilities Manager, who is HO based, you will be accountable for leading your team and contractors to deliver FM services, across a diverse organisation, with various stakeholders.
n
Your key accountabilities will include:
n
n
Leading precinct facilities operations through a small in-house team, outsourced service providers and contractors.
n
Driving operational performance, compliance, asset management, and maintenance outcomes.
n
Overseeing facilities budgets, forecasting, reporting, and expenditure management for operations and capital works.
n
Supporting capital works, minor works, and asset replacement programs across the full lifecycle to minimise operational impact.
n
Contributing to strategic facilities planning and business improvement initiatives in facilities management workflows and SOP's.
n
Developing business cases and recommendations to senior leadership teams around facilities and operations
n
Ensuring compliance with WHS, emergency management, statutory obligations, and building standards.
n
Acting as a subject matter resource for building systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS).
n

About You
n




We're looking for a commercially minded Facilities Manager with strong technical aptitude in base plant and equipment, and exceptional stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking are a must. Proven experience in managing in-house teams is also required, along with performance management and mentorship.

You will bring:
n
n
Demonstrated experience managing facilities across complex, multi-building environments.
n
Team leadership experience of direct reports, performance management and fostering positive work culture.
n
Strong contractor and vendor management experience, particularly within KPI-driven service contracts.
n
Knowledge of building services, asset management, planned maintenance, and building compliance requirements.
n
Exposure to Building Management Systems highly regarded
n
Experience developing process improvements, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
A background in shopping centres, health, education, or government facilities will be highly regarded!
n
A Diploma in Facilities Management or tertiary education in
Engineering/Construction
or Property is desired.
