LVT People islooking for a Junior Business Analyst with expertise in creating and managing User Stories for our enterprise and government clients.
n
As a Junior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the business stakeholders and the development team by translating business requirements into clear and actionable user stories; you will ensure smooth project management through tools like Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners and senior business analysts to elicit and document business requirements. Conduct interviews, workshops and surveys to gather essential information.
n
User Story creation: Create and maintain detailed user stories that capture functional and non-functional requirements. Ensure user stories are clear, concise and follow best practices.
n
User Story Management: Use Jira to create, update and manage user stories, tasks and epics. Maintain the product backlog and ensure it reflects the most up-to-date priorities.
n
Acceptance Criteria: Define acceptance criteria for user stories to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards. Collaborate with the development team to clarify any questions or concerns.
n
Jira and Confluence expertise: Leverage Jira and Confluence to track and report on project progress and optimise project management.
n
Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, facilitating effective communication. Ensure that all parties have a common understanding of project goals and requirements.
n
Quality Assurance: Review and validate completed user stories to ensure they meet acceptance criteria and are aligned with business expectations. Identify and report any issues or discrepancies.

Documentation:



Maintain comprehensive documentation of user stories, requirements and changes throughout the project lifecycle. Keep stakeholders informed of updates and progress using Confluence.

Process improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the user story creation and management process. Suggest and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
n
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionalities and ensure they meet business requirements.
n
Cross-Functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers and project managers to ensure successful project delivery. Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives.

Proven experience of 3 years as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on User Stories in ICT projects
n
Proven, working knowledge of Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation
n
Experience working in Agile workplace for software development
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
n
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
n
Experience working with non-technical/business stakeholders
n
Bacholor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g. Business Administration, Information Technology)
n
Experience working in a government agency, consulting firm or with large enterprise clients
n
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analyst Professional or Certified ScrumMaster
n
Familiarity with BPMN 2.0
n
