Position: Truck Driver (General)

Salary: $79,500 to $90,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Shepparton East VIC ****

Our client specialises in long-haul freight, linehaul transport, and warehousing solutions and is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to work across the Goulburn Valley region including Shepparton East, Victoria
n
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
n
n
Drive and operate trucks.
n
Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
n
Pre-inspect truck.
n
Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
n
Load and unload cargo.
n
Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all protected work practices, policies, and processes always.
n
Complete and verify paperwork with accuracy.
n
Comply with all laws and legislation regarding trucks as well as comply with company's policies and procedures.
n




Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
n

Requirements:
n
n
AQF Certificate II or III in relevant field OR at least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
n
Valid Heavy Vehicle Licence
n
At least 12 months relevant experience as a Truck Driver
n
Experience transporting general and palletised freight using heavy vehicle combinations, including semi-trailers and B-doubles.
n
No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven (7) years
n
Ability to lift 80 pounds repeatedly throughout dayTraffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
n
Clean driving record.
