Carry out all aspects of being a Business Development Manager and all functions for KAEFER Integrated Services Pty Ltd within the guidelines set out below, to successfully achieve the company's objectives as assigned by the Managing Director. These objectives shall cover the timely completion of activities in all the duties and responsibilities set out below.
Assist the company wherever possible to ensure employees, clients and visitors comply with the KAEFER Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures always.
The employee will be responsible and accountable for the following:
Role/Technical Requirements
Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the company's goals and objectives within the coal, oil & gas, and construction markets.
Previous experience in a business development role managing tier one clients across mining and oil & gas projects within Australia
Oversee day-to-day business development activities, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
Grow the business through existing contract development and successful acquisition of new clients and contracts
Manage financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to drive growth.
Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and career development.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Monitor and analyse market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Prepare and present regular reports on business performance, activities, and outcomes to senior management.
Implement best practices in business operations, financial management, and customer service.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration.
Develop, promote and increase the business activities of the company wherever possible.
HSE
Assist the company wherever possible to ensure the overall health, safety and welfare of all KAEFER personnel, contractors or visitors.




Ensure all work practices are carried out in as safe a manner as is possible and always complies with all applicable legislation and the KAEFER'S Occupational Health Safety and Environmental (OHS & E) policies / procedures, to achieve a zero tolerance of unsafe practices.
Actively promote and adhere to all KAEFER OHS & E policies / procedures.
Assist the company wherever possible to ensure employees, clients and visitors comply with the KAEFER Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures always.

Position Specifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is preferred.
Knowledge And Experience Required
Proven experience in a senior business development role within the mining (specifically coal), oil & gas, and construction industry.
Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and market dynamics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in business management software and tools.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
Strong commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
Willingness to travel as needed to support business operations and development activities.
