An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Maternity Safety and Governance Team as a Risk and Governance Midwife at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Working closely with the Safety and Governance Lead Midwife, you will play a pivotal role in driving the maternity quality and governance agenda and supporting the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care.
The post holder will provide expert leadership and advice on clinical risk management, oversee incident reporting and investigations, coordinate learning from adverse events, and support continuous service improvement across maternity services.
You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to identify trends, implement action plans, promote best practice and ensure compliance with local and national standards.
This role is ideal for an experienced midwife who has strong leadership skills, significant clinical experience and a keen interest in governance, risk management and patient safety.
You will be confident in managing complex issues, leading investigations, supporting staff development and influencing positive change.
To work with the Safety and Governance Lead Midwife in the delivery of the quality and governance agenda within Maternity via the development and implementation of the Clinical Risk Management Strategy.
To provide leadership and advice on matters relating to clinical risk management and risk assessment in Maternity Services
The post holder will be responsible for the oversight and monitoring of incidents and presentation of key performance indicators.
