This role is all about employer engagement, business development, and championing inclusive employment across Hunter and Lower Hunter regions.
You'll be out on the road, meeting employers, opening doors, and helping businesses see the value of partnering with Employment Plus.Why this role mattersAs a Business Development Partner, you will work directly with employers to understand their workforce needs and support them to hire jobseekers with disability, injury or health conditions.
You'll be the connector between local businesses and our services; influencing, educating and building long‐term partnerships that lead to sustainable employment outcomes.
(This role is known internally as a Recruitment Partner, but functions primarily as a Business Development / Employer Engagement position.)What you'll be doingDevelop employer partnerships across Hunter and Lower Hunter regions, working closely with local site teamsIdentify workforce needs and provide tailored recruitment solutionsAdvocate for inclusive hiring by helping employers understand and accommodate candidate needsMatch job‐ready candidates through referrals,
job carving and reverse marketingCollaborate with Employment Consultants to align employer opportunities with caseload needsProvide post‐placement support to ensure sustainable outcomes for both employers and participantsMaintain strong labour market knowledge to identify emerging opportunitiesAchieve performance targets with a solutions‐focused, high‐performance mindsetAbout youYou'll thrive in this role if you bring:Business development or B2B sales experience - confident in approaching, influencing and building relationships with employersEmployment services experience - particularly in barrier management, reverse marketing or disability employmentUnderstanding of disability employment barriers and the ability to communicate these sensitively and persuasivelyStrong networking and stakeholder communication skillsKnowledge of local employers and labour market trendsA performance‐focused mindset with proven results in achieving KPIsA valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across multiple sitesRelevant qualifications in Employment Services, Community Services or related areas are desirable.What we offerAttractive remuneration + NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax‐free + meal & entertainment benefits)Work–life balance with a 9‐day fortnight or accrued day off every 4 weeks (FT)Comprehensive training and opportunities for further tertiary studyDiscounted fitness memberships, health insurance and retail perksGenerous leave benefits, including purchased leave, 12 weeks paid parental leave and 5 days paid Salvos volunteering leaveFree counselling and wellbeing programsLong‐term career pathways across Employment Plus and the wider Salvos networkReady to make a difference?
