Contract until December **** | $***** per hour + super | Maroochydore and North Lakes sites
Are you an experienced L&D; professional who enjoys taking a project, bringing the right people together and turning complex requirements into practical learning solutions?
We are partnering with a large, complex essential services organisation to recruit an experienced Learning & Development Advisor for an immediate-start labour hire contract through until the end of December, with potential for extension.
You'll join a small, collaborative L&D; team with a substantial portfolio of work underway and a manager who genuinely encourages ownership, ideas and collective decision-making.
The prospect
This isn't an L&D; role centred predominantly around facilitation or leadership development.
Approximately 80% of the team's work supports safety and compliance learning, and you'll work across a combination of learning projects, accredited programs and BAU activity.
There are currently around 27 projects across the team, including the development of new safety and compliance eLearning modules, certificate programs, apprentice learning, learner resources and other L&D; initiatives.
Depending on your experience and particular strengths, you may take ownership of several specific projects or work more broadly across the portfolio.
Your responsibilities may include:
Managing L&D; projects from initial consultation through to delivery
Partnering with leaders and subject matter experts to understand learning and capability requirements
Gathering and interpreting information across policies, procedures, frameworks and data
Translating technical or compliance requirements into practical learning solutions
Supporting the development of new eLearning modules in partnership with an Instructional Designer
Keeping SMEs engaged throughout the development and review process

Supporting accredited training programs delivered through external RTOs
Working with leaders and HR Business Partners to identify and enrol appropriate program participants
Contributing to projects involving apprentice learning, learner guides, study assistance and other L&D; initiatives
Managing competing priorities within an agile/project-based working environment.
About you
We're looking for an experienced L&D; practitioner who is comfortable operating within a large and complex organisation and can confidently take ownership of work rather than waiting for every next step to be provided.
You'll ideally bring:
Solid Learning & Development experience gained within a corporate or similarly complex workplace
Strong consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly working with subject matter experts
Demonstrated experience managing L&D; projects end to end
A sound understanding of learning design and adult learning principles
The ability to gather information, understand the bigger picture and join the dots across multiple requirements
Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to come back with recommendations and a plan
Experience managing competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
Experience with LMS/HRIS learning environments and good general technology capability
Relevant qualifications in HR, Learning & Development, Training and Assessment or a related discipline.
Experience within an organisation supporting frontline,

operational, technical, construction or similar workforces would be highly regarded, as would exposure to safety and compliance learning, but neither is essential.
We're interested in the depth and relevance of your experience, not simply the number of years you've worked in L&D.;
Why consider this opportunity?
There is a lot happening in this team and that's part of what makes the opportunity interesting.
You'll join a genuinely collaborative group that enjoys the work they do, has strong relationships across the organisation and has recently adopted agile ways of working to better manage its project portfolio.
You'll be given clear projects and expectations, but also the space to bring your own L&D; expertise, ideas and ways of solving problems.
The team is currently under-resourced, so your contribution will be meaningful from the outset.
Contract:
ASAP start through to the end of December ****, with potential for extension.
Rate:
Rates start at $*****-$***** per hour + superannuation, depending on experience.
Location:
Maroochydore preferred, with North Brisbane also considered.
Hybrid:
Approximately 2-3 days per week in the office, with flexibility around start and finish times.
