Special Needs Teachers (Autism)
for casual opportunities in specialist schools across Melbourne's Northern Suburbs.
The schools we support have students with a range of intellectual, physical, and emotional disabilities and focus on helping each student achieve their individual potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
In this role, you will:
Work with small class sizes (6-10 students per class)
Be supported by teaching assistants and experienced staff
Join inclusive and well-resourced specialist school environments
Make a meaningful impact in students' lives
Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.
Skills & experience
To be successful, you will have:
Experience working with children with Autism(preferred but not essential)
A passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
Understanding of special education and disabilities
Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy
Requirements
Must hold a current VIT registration(or in progress)
Recent teaching experience (outlined in CV)
Two professional referees(principal-class or mentors accepted for graduates)
Working rights in Australia
