The opportunity This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a passionate Science educator to lead a dedicated faculty and drive excellence in teaching and learning across the department.
In this role, you will: Lead and manage the Science Faculty across Years 7-12 Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement Support and mentor Science teachers to deliver outstanding educational outcomes Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and program development Teach Science classes, including Stage 6 subjects within your area of expertise Monitor student achievement data and implement strategies to improve outcomes Ensure effective management of laboratories, resources,



and safety procedures Promote student engagement in Science through innovative teaching practices and enrichment opportunities Work collaboratively with school leaders to support whole-school improvement initiatives About you You are a dynamic educational leader who: Holds recognised secondary teaching qualifications Is NESA accredited (or eligible for accreditation) Has experience teaching Science at the secondary level, including Stage 6 Demonstrates proven leadership experience or the capacity to step into a faculty leadership role Possesses strong curriculum knowledge and a commitment to academic excellence Has excellent communication, organisational, and people-management skills Is passionate about mentoring staff and developing high-performing teams Builds positive relationships with students, staff, and families Thrives in a collaborative, values-driven environment Why this school?
