How to demonstrate it
Experience in a service-oriented environment Use an example where you responded to a client or stakeholder need, kept the work moving and maintained a professional standard during a sensitive or detailed process.
Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of procedures and systems Explain how you learned a recent process or system, checked your understanding and became reliable without creating errors for others to fix.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Dynamics 365, TRIM and Outlook Name the tools you have used and the work completed in them, such as records, correspondence, spreadsheets, case updates, document control or workload tracking.
Managing sensitive client information Describe the controls and judgement you used to protect privacy, maintain accurate records and share information only with the right people.
Working Collaboratively Show how you shared information, acknowledged colleagues' work and stepped in when the team needed support across competing tasks.
Systems Thinking Use an example that shows how your task connected with another team, process or decision, and how you protected the quality of the wider service.
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Explain how you applied a policy or process to resolve an issue, recognised when guidance was needed and provided useful information to support the decision.
Digital and Technological Literacy Give practical evidence of completing accurate work through digital tools, learning system functions and checking data before finalising the task.
Interpersonal Skills Show how you communicated politely and constructively, read the needs of the person you were dealing with and handled a difficult or emotional interaction with care.
Stakeholder Management Describe how you kept a client or stakeholder updated, followed through on a request or complaint and took responsibility for correcting a problem.
What the Panel Will Want to See in Your Examples
Accurate case, intake or records work completed within clear procedures
Careful handling of confidential or personally sensitive information
A client-service example that shows communication, follow-through and sound judgement
Evidence that you can learn unfamiliar systems and maintain reliable data
Practical problem solving, including knowing when to follow a guideline and when to seek advice
Contribution to a small team while managing your own workload with appropriate independence
The successful candidate must satisfy the department's pre-employment requirements.

Australian Entitlement to Work Check
A relevant degree, tertiary qualification or vocational certificate is desired, but a specific qualification is not required to apply.
The successful candidate may also be asked to work in other areas when the department needs support for priority projects or programs.
