Position : Motor Mechanic Type : Full-time Employer : Rapid Motor Repairs Pty Ltd Location : Forrestfield WA **** Salary : $80,000 per annum About the Business: Rapid Motor Repairs Pty Ltd is a locally owned automotive workshop in Forrestfield serving Perth's eastern suburbs and customers across Western Australia, including Mandurah.
The business provides a full range of mechanical services including logbook servicing, engine diagnostics and repairs, brake, clutch and transmission work, cooling system repairs, tyre fitting, battery and electrical repairs, and detailed pre-purchase inspections.

About the Position: The Motor Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing light vehicles to a high standard so customers receive safe, reliable work and the workshop maintains its reputation for quality and turnaround.
The role covers day-to-day mechanical repairs and servicing, use of diagnostic equipment, accurate quoting and job completion, and supporting pre-purchase and safety inspections.
The position is central to workshop output and customer trust at Rapid Motor Repairs.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using workshop tools, scan tools and visual inspection Carry out logbook and scheduled servicing, including oil,



filter and fluid changes Repair and replace engines, timing belts/chains, brakes, clutches, suspension, steering, cooling systems, starters, alternators and related components Perform transmission and gearbox servicing and repairs Fit, balance and repair tyres; replace batteries and lighting components Complete pre-purchase, roadworthy and general safety inspections and report findings clearly Follow manufacturer specifications, workshop procedures and WHS requirements Accurately record work, parts used and time spent; communicate job status and recommendations to the workshop supervisor and customers when required Keep the work bay, tools and equipment clean, organised and serviceable Support efficient workflow so jobs are completed on time and to a professional standard Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis Diploma of Automotive Management Minimum 1.5 years' relevant experience as a motor mechanic Robust diagnostic and mechanical repair skills across light vehicles Ability to work accurately, safely and independently in a busy workshop Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach Current Australian driver's licence Willingness to work as part of a small workshop team and follow established procedures How to Apply: To apply, applicants must submit their resume with a valid email address through this online portal.
