About Smart Built Smart Built is a licensed building construction contractor based in Adelaide, South Australia, and is currently expanding its operations into Queensland.
The company has already successfully completed several high-end residential projects in Brisbane.
We hold both commercial and residential building licences and specialise in residential, commercial and light commercial construction projects.
We provide comprehensive construction services, including project management, head contracting and tailored building solutions.
Our projects include custom homes, project homes, commercial offices, renovations and industrial developments.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Contract Administrator to support the administration and management of construction contracts and project documentation.
About the Role The Contract Administrator will assist with the administration of contracts throughout the project lifecycle and work closely with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure contractual and project requirements are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain construction contracts and related documentation.
Review contracts, subcontractor agreements, tender documents and project correspondence.
Monitor contractual obligations, key dates, variations, claims and other contract requirements.
Assist with the preparation and review of contract variations, extensions of time and claims.
Maintain contract registers, records and project documentation.
Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and internal project teams regarding contractual matters.




Assist with identifying and managing contractual, commercial and compliance risks.
Support the review of invoices, progress claims and other contract-related documentation.
Assist in monitoring subcontractor compliance with contractual and project requirements.
Ensure contract administration activities comply with relevant Australian laws, regulations, contractual requirements and company policies.
Prepare reports and correspondence and provide contractual and administrative support to project management.
Selection Criteria The successful applicant will have: A relevant qualification in law, business, construction or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in contract administration, contract management, legal, compliance or a related field.
Valuable understanding of contracts, contractual obligations and document management.
Knowledge of Australian laws and regulations relevant to contracts and business operations.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with project managers, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
Previous experience in the property, construction or related industry will be highly regarded.
Bilingual communication skills will be regarded as an advantage.
