Senior Project Engineer – Bridges Roads (TFNSW Experience Essential) Project Location: Dubbo, NSW Position: FIFO Contract Contract Duration: 4 Months Travel Accommodation: Flights and accommodation provided About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major infrastructure project based in Dubbo, NSW , on a 4-month FIFO contract.
This role is ideal for an engineer with a solid background in bridge construction and Transport for NSW (TFNSW) road projects , who can lead the delivery of complex civil works while ensuring safety, quality, and programme objectives are achieved.
Working alongside the Project Manager and site delivery team, you will play a key role in coordinating construction activities, managing subcontractors, maintaining compliance with TFNSW standards, and driving project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of bridge and road construction works.
Coordinate daily site operations to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Develop construction methodologies, work packs, and short-term programmes.
Manage subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project milestones.
Review engineering drawings and resolve technical issues on site.
Ensure compliance with TFNSW specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Prepare and manage ITPs, RFIs, NCRs, lot records, and project documentation.
Monitor project progress, productivity, and cost performance.
Identify risks and implement practical engineering solutions.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.




About YouYou will bring: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Extensive experience as a Senior Project Engineer on major civil infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience delivering bridge construction projects.
Proven experience working on Transport for NSW (TFNSW) road infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of TFNSW specifications, standards, and quality assurance processes.
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to work effectively on a FIFO roster.
Essential Requirements Degree-qualified Civil Engineer.
Significant bridge construction experience.
Previous experience delivering TFNSW road projects.
White Card.
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Full Australian working rights.
