High-growth investment firm Broad vendor oversight operational position Strong career development opportunity About The Company Our client is a highly regarded investment management firm operating across Australia, known for its active investment philosophy, strong alignment with clients through employee ownership and co-investment, and focus on delivering long-term investment outcomes.
The business's FUM has doubled in size over the past four years, alongside a significant increase in headcount.
This role is responsible for delivering strong operational results, ensuring robust oversight of key service providers, and supporting a scalable and resilient operating model.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day running of investment operations across a broad range of middle office and vendor-related activities; Manage trade lifecycle processes, resolving exceptions, and ensuring accurate and timely settlement across Equities, Bonds, Exchange Traded Derivatives, FX, and OTC instruments; Work across fund launches, client onboarding activities, operational change initiatives, and transition projects; Liaise closely with custodians, administrators, trustees, brokers, counterparties, and external service providers to maintain strong operational delivery; Support corporate actions, capital events, rights issues,
and other time-critical operational activities with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail; Maintain operational procedures, controls, and documentation to support a robust governance and risk framework; Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency across the function.
Knowledge and Experience: 5+ years of experience in investment operations, fund operations or middle office within funds management, custody, fund administration or a related financial services environment; Proven experience supporting operational processes such as settlements, trade support and reconciliations; Exposure to working with third-party providers including custodians, administrators, trustees, brokers, counterparties and data vendors; Solid understanding of operational controls, governance frameworks, and risk management practices; Exceptional attention to detail with a solid ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines; Proficient in using systems, with confidence navigating various operational and investment platforms; Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders; If you are interested in learning more about this position, please contact Darragh Cleary on ************ or at ******, or apply via the attached link.
