About the Role This is a hands-on contract role owning the semantic modelling layer end to end.
You'll work directly with business stakeholders to translate questions into models and measures, rebuild reporting for consistency, and leave behind something maintainable.
Benefits $500 to $700 per day depending on experience 6 month initial contract with a genuine view to extension Real ownership of the modelling layer, not just report building A clear brief from day one, with the autonomy to land on the right answer yourself Duties / Key Responsibilities Design and build semantic models in Power BI, including star schemas and DAX measures that perform at scale Rebuild and rationalise existing reports and datasets so the business works off one version of the truth Work directly with stakeholders to translate business questions into models and measures Improve refresh performance, workspace structure,



and documentation so reporting is maintainable long term Skills and Experience Robust hands-on Power BI experience, well beyond report building Real depth in semantic modelling: dimensional design, relationships, DAX, and performance tuning Ability to work independently with stakeholders without heavy direction Full Australian working rights Currently based in Sydney and able to work 3 days per week onsite Leon is recruiting for this role on behalf of Allura Partners.
