Holt Farming are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our sweet potato farm in Bundaberg.
This role may involve a mix of outdoor farm work and indoor duties within our packing shed.
To be successful in this role, you will need: Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail Positive organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Flexibility with hours and availability for weekend work Physical fitness and the ability to work in all weather conditions and environments A current forklift LF License Strong safety awareness and adherence to safe work practices Proven forklift operating experience, including loading / unloading trucks,



stacking bins and operating in confined spaces Ability to conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks Competence in handling produce carefully to minimise damage Ability to follow instructions from the Farm Manager, Packing Shed Manager and Director Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and report issues Experience working in agriculture or a packing shed (highly regarded but not essential) Applicants must be willing to undergo a police check, pre-employment medical assessments, and drug and alcohol testing as part of the recruitment process, prior to any job offer being made.
Reliability is essential – applicants must consistently arrive on time, and the role does require early starts.
