Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Chief Operating Officer.
This is an prospect for a highly organised professional who uses initiative, exercises sound judgement and enjoys working in a busy executive environment.
You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to coordinate priorities, correspondence, meetings, actions and workflows, while building effective relationships with Councillors, senior staff, government representatives and other key stakeholders.
What we will offer you : Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week).
Remuneration of $3,****** gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,****** gross per fortnight + 12% superannuation.

The opportunity to work across a broad range of strategic and operational matters affecting Council and the Wagga Wagga community.
Key responsibilities include : providing proactive executive support to the Chief Operating Officer, including diary, correspondence and workflow management; coordinating and following up requests, commitments and actions; preparing reports, briefings, correspondence and business papers; organising meetings and supporting documentation; liaising with Councillors, senior staff and external stakeholders; and managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
What you will need to succeed : Experience in an Executive Assistant or senior administrative support role.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.




Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare high-quality professional correspondence and documentation.
Initiative and the ability to anticipate requirements, identify issues and follow matters through to completion.
A high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive information.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, Councillors and internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to confidently use a range of business systems.
