About the Job
Make a difference across the Pilbara
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Coordinator within our Family and Domestic Violence Program to lead a small team of Advocates working across Newman, South Hedland and Karratha.
This role provides leadership and coordination of FDV services across the Pilbara, ensuring clients receive safe, responsive and accessible support.
The Coordinator will oversee program delivery, support staff capability and wellbeing, and build solid partnerships across the community and service sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise and support a small team of Family and Domestic Violence Advocates across Newman, Port Hedland and Karratha.
Provide coaching, mentoring, professional supervision and guidance in complex client matters.
Coordinate and monitor FDV programs and services,



ensuring effective, consistent and client-centred delivery across the region.
Manage workloads, team priorities and resources to support quality service delivery.
Monitor program outcomes, data and reporting requirements and contribute to continuous improvement.
Support the development of outreach, education and community awareness initiatives.
Provide guidance on legal rights, safety planning, advocacy and appropriate referral pathways.
Build and maintain strong relationships with legal services, government agencies, community organisations and other key stakeholders.
Support effective referral pathways and collaborative responses to FDV across the Pilbara.
Ensure accurate case management, documentation and reporting in line with organisational requirements.
About You
You will be an experienced leader with a strong understanding of family and domestic violence and a demonstrated ability to manage people and programs in a community services environment.
You will bring:
Experience leading, supervising and developing staff.
Experience coordinating programs or services, preferably within FDV, community services, legal or social justice sectors.
Strong understanding of FDV issues, trauma-informed practice and client safety.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
Solid organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
A commitment to social justice, advocacy, culturally safe practice and positive client outcomes.

Diploma in Social Work (minimum) or related field, and significant and/or experience in the Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work or other relevant sector
Knowledge of domestic and family violence issues affecting families including those from culturally and linguistically diverse and Indigenous backgrounds
Proven ability to provide casework support
Knowledge of issues impacting people who face multiple disadvantages including domestic and family violence, drug and alcohol dependency, mental health concerns, abuse, neglect, homelessness and involvement in the justice system
Proven ability to coordinate a project and people
Ensure the values of the organisation are upheld and contribute positively to the culture of the organisation
Ensure a safe working environment and ensure reasonable self-care and care of others
Ability to travel across the Pilbara including overnight stays
