We're hiring Full Time Retail Managers at McDonald's across our several locations.
This role involves overseeing shifts and running a designated area.
Some of our restaurants operate 24 hours, so we provide flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability.
Working days and hours may be subject to change to meet the restaurant's requirements, and overnight work may be required depending on your assigned location.
Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day retail operations of the restaurant, overseeing front-of-house, drive-thru, kitchen, and administrative functions to ensure efficient workflows, consistent service standards, and compliance with company policies.
Coordinate product offerings and promotional activities in consultation with the business, ensuring they align with customer demand, operational requirements, and budget objectives.
Organise and oversee promotional campaigns, community initiatives, and local marketing activities to enhance customer engagement, increase sales, and strengthen brand visibility.
Oversee purchasing, inventory management, pricing, stock control, and stock rotation to maintain product availability, minimise waste, and achieve cost efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, financial transactions, labour costs, and operational expenses, ensuring compliance with company reporting requirements.
Ensure the store complies with workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene, and operational standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-focused environment.
Monitor customer satisfaction by responding to enquiries and resolving complaints promptly and professionally to maintain a high standard of customer service.
Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate team members, ensuring employees are competent, motivated, and consistently deliver excellent customer service.
Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining labour cost efficiency and meeting operational demands.
Monitor budgets, sales performance, labour costs, and operational expenses by reviewing financial reports and implementing strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Develop and implement store initiatives to improve operational performance, increase productivity, and achieve business objectives and key performance indicators.
Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, service providers, and contractors to ensure the timely supply of products, equipment, and operational resources.
Conduct regular inspections of the store to ensure merchandising, product presentation, equipment functionality, cleanliness, and operational standards are consistently maintained.
Lead by example by supporting daily store operations, promoting teamwork, maintaining operational efficiency, and delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.
Skills Experience Required Minimum one year of relevant experience in a retail supervisory or management role, with demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
Diploma in any field or equivalent industry experience demonstrating solid retail operations, leadership, and business management capability.
Must be fully qualified by McDonald's Australia,
including successful completion of the required internal management training programs (e.g. SMX or LTS).
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, mentor, and develop team members to achieve operational and business objectives.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining high operational and customer service standards.
Strong customer service focus with the ability to build positive customer relationships and effectively resolve enquiries and complaints.
Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, stock control, labour cost management, budgeting, sales reporting, and performance monitoring.
Ability to prepare and manage staff rosters, allocate resources efficiently, and maintain productivity in line with business requirements.
Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety, food safety, company policies, and regulatory compliance.

Ability to work a flexible rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to meet operational requirements.
