CCGT is looking for a 1st Year Plastering Apprentice to join a small Central Coast-based plastering business.
This is a great opportunity to learn a practical trade while working on mostly residential projects, with some commercial work from time to time.
You'll be part of a small, quick-paced team that takes pride in quality plastering work and getting the job done properly.
No previous plastering experience is needed.
You just need to be fit, reliable, keen to learn and ready for physical work.
You will be employed by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) and placed with the Host Employer for your day-to-day work.
CCGT will support you throughout your apprenticeship while you complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining through block release training.
This is a full-time apprenticeship over 48 months, generally working 7:00am to 4:06pm, Monday to Friday.

What You'll Actually Be Doing Your first few months will focus on learning site safety, getting familiar with tools and materials, and helping experienced plasterers with day-to-day tasks.
As your skills grow, you'll start learning how to: Assist with sheeting, sanding and setting Prepare walls and ceilings for plastering Clean,
sand and tape surfaces Help install plasterboard and lining materials Use tools and equipment safely Maintain tools, materials and work areas Keep worksites clean, safe and organised Work to deadlines with the team Build accuracy and attention to detail This is a very physical trade, so you'll be on your feet, lifting materials and working hands-on each day.
You will not be expected to know everything on day one.
The goal is to listen, ask questions and keep improving.

hands-on work Are interested in plastering or the building industry Turn up on time and are ready to learn Listen carefully and follow instructions Ask questions when you are unsure Work safely and respect the team around you Have good attention to detail Are fit, friendly and keen to work Can handle a fast-paced work environment Have a White Card Have a driver's licence Have your own reliable vehicle School projects, work experience, sport, volunteering, helping family, outdoor work or practical hobbies all count.
Include anything that shows you are reliable, hands-on and willing to have a go.
Pay This is a paid, full-time apprenticeship.
Current first-year apprentice rates are: $****** per week for [Under 21 Completed Yr 12] $****** per week for [Under 21 not completed Yr 12] $******* per week for [Adult rates - Over 21] Rates are before tax and based on 38 ordinary hours per week.
Your exact rate will depend on the applicable apprenticeship classification and will be confirmed before an employment offer is made.
Superannuation and any applicable overtime, penalty rates and allowances are paid in addition.
