An established Australian fashion and lifestyle business is seeking a commercially minded Merchandise Planner to take ownership of planning across a portfolio of key wholesale accounts.
From new-season buys and OTB management through to replenishment, promotions and end-of-season strategy, you will directly influence sales, margin and stock performance.

About the role Reporting into senior merchandise leadership, you will partner closely with Account Managers across a portfolio of major customers, taking ownership of all planning-related activity.
This is a true commercial planning role not a reporting-only position.
You will influence what is bought, where stock sits, how accounts trade and where future growth opportunities lie.
Your responsibilities will include: Owning merchandise planning across a portfolio of key wholesale accounts Managing OTB, sales budgets, stock targets, stock turn and closing stock positions Reforecasting sales performance and OTB requirements each month Planning new-season buys, product mix, model levels and account registrations Analysing sales, margin, inventory and SKU performance to identify risks and opportunities Attending range meetings with Account Managers and Designers, providing commercial insights on brand and product performance Forecasting the margin impact of promotions, discounts and foreign exchange movements Managing the SKU lifecycle, including new product launches, seasonal model levels and end-of-season rotations Executing replenishment in line with sales demand, OTB, stock targets and lead times Planning promotional activity and ensuring sufficient stock is available to support forecast demand Managing critical paths to ensure orders and deliveries remain on schedule Guiding the Merchandise Allocator on account orders and allocation requirements Presenting performance updates, risks and commercial recommendations to senior leadership Building strong relationships with external Buyers and Planners across major customer accounts Partnering with Account Management, Design,
Warehouse and field teams to maximise sales and stock productivity About you You will be an analytical and commercially driven Planner who can turn data into transparent actions and confidently influence a broad range of stakeholders.
You will ideally bring: Merchandise planning experience within fashion, accessories, retail, wholesale or another product-led consumer business Strong capability across OTB, forecasting, replenishment, sales analysis, margin and inventory management A clear understanding of stock turn, stock availability and promotional planning The ability to translate complex performance data into clear commercial recommendations Strong Excel and merchandise planning system skills Confidence communicating with Buyers, Account Managers and senior leadership Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and critical timelines A proactive, collaborative approach and genuine interest in driving business growth Why join?
