Sometimes people need someone in their corner, someone who can recognise their strengths, help them navigate the things getting in the way and turn "I don't know where to start" into a practical plan forward.
That's where you come in.
MADEC is looking for a Job Coach to join our Benalla team, supporting people in the Workforce Australia program to build confidence, prepare for employment and connect with opportunities that can make a lasting difference.
What does a Job Coach actually do?
At its heart, this role is about people, relationships and outcomes.
You'll get to know your participants as individuals - their experience, goals, strengths and barriers - and work alongside them to develop a realistic pathway towards employment.
That could mean helping someone create a resume they're proud of, preparing them for an interview, connecting them with training or support, or introducing them to a local employer who could offer exactly the opportunity they need.
You'll also: Build trusted relationships with participants through regular coaching and support Develop tailored employment plans based on individual goals and circumstances Provide practical job-search, resume and interview support Build relationships with employers and identify suitable job opportunities Connect participants with training, community and specialist support services Support participants to understand and meet their mutual obligations Continue supporting participants once they enter employment Maintain accurate records and meet program and compliance requirements Work towards employment placement and sustainable outcome targets Could you be a great Job Coach?
You may already work in employment services or case management, but you don't necessarily need to.




We're interested in people who know how to connect, motivate, organise and get things moving.
Your experience could come from community services, recruitment, disability support, sales, customer service, education, training or another people-focused environment.
More importantly, you'll bring: Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with different people Empathy balanced with the confidence to have constructive conversations Resilience and sound judgement when situations become challenging Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities A practical, solutions-focused approach Motivation to achieve outcomes without losing sight of the person behind them What you'll need Current Driver's Licence National Police Check Working With Children Check A Certificate IV in Employment Services and knowledge of the Benalla labour market and local support network will be highly regarded, but aren't essential.
