About the role Our client is seeking to employ three (3) Plastics Technician (Rubber Liner/Hose Builder) to join their experienced team at Carole Park, Queensland.
The role is responsible for the assembly and processing of high-quality products, playing a crucial role in their production operations.
The role requires availability for day shifts only.
Duties Machine setup and operation: programming and calibrating machinery, setting up dies/moulds, and starting up or shutting down production lines.
Troubleshooting and maintenance: repairing, adjusting and troubleshooting machinery to minimize downtime.
Quality Control: conducting routine checks on products, including dimensional, hardness and other product specific design accuracy.
Process Optimization: recommending technical design or process changes to improve efficiency.
Safety and compliance: ensuring all work adheres to safety standards such as Occupation Health ad Safety (OH S) or Food Safety/HACCP regulations.
Supervise a production line.
Demonstrated proficiency in both cold and hot bonding rubber lining techniques is essential for this position.
Monitoring and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Comfortable to work with hand tools (knives, grinders/buffers, blade cutters) and chemicals and glues.
Able to operate boilers and control autoclaves for the curing of rubber and hoses during the manufacturing process.
Prior experience operating boilers and controlling autoclaves is required.
Performing qualify checks throughout the production process to uphold high standards.
