Civil, structural and fabrication drafting Diverse specialist construction projects Work closely with engineering and site teams We are currently seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Draftsperson to join a well-established WA contractor delivering specialist construction projects across the commercial, civil, infrastructure and resources sectors.
This is a great opportunity for a practical Draftsperson who enjoys working across a diverse range of projects involving structural steel, fabricated components, concrete works, civil construction and specialist infrastructure .
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate drawings and documentation that can be effectively taken from design through to fabrication and construction.

Permanent opportunity with an established WA construction contractor Diverse project exposure across civil, structural and specialist construction Work closely with experienced Project Managers, Engineers and site personnel Varied role with involvement from initial design through to construction South of the river location Your responsibilities will include: Producing detailed construction, fabrication and shop drawings Preparing drawings for structural steel, gates, fencing systems and associated fabricated components Drafting concrete footings, plinths, foundations and other structural elements Assisting with drawings for civil works, underground services and associated infrastructure Reviewing engineering and construction drawings,



specifications and project documentation Updating and revising drawings throughout the project lifecycle Preparing as-built drawings and maintaining accurate drawing registers Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers, workshop personnel and site teams Working from site measurements, engineering designs and client specifications Identifying potential constructability issues and working with the project team to develop practical solutions Ensuring drawings meet project requirements, relevant standards and client specifications To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Previous experience working as a Draftsperson within construction, structural steel, civil, fabrication or a similar environment Strong experience using AutoCAD or similar drafting software Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings Understanding of structural steel, fabricated components, concrete or civil construction Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication skills with the ability to work alongside both office and site-based teams Ability to manage drawing revisions and multiple project requirements A practical understanding of how drawings translate into fabrication and construction A qualification in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
