The Opportunity
Commercial Manager – Brisbane, QLD or Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.
Toll group is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Aviation business located in Brisbane, QLD or Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.
This role's main purpose is to be responsible for the financial and commercial performance of the Aviation business by supporting contracts and customers as required.
A focus of the role will be to support the Fixed Wing team by managing its commercial and financial activities and relationships.
The main aim of the role is to ensure client and supplier contract outcomes of the Fixed Wing business are achieved and appropriately managed.
This role will also have responsibility for the development of business cases, budgeting/forecasting, pricing new services, managing revenue and costs whilst enhancing the overall commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure robust data and analysis for all of business monthly management reporting structured for effective decision making locally and provides full transparency against business cases and other relevant metrics for key stakeholders.
Responsible for providing analysis, PL budget and forecasting.
Management and responsibility of the provision of the monthly management, client contract and financial reporting requirements for responsible contracts.
Identify improvement strategies in processes, systems and procedures to maximise efficiency.
Identify cost‐saving opportunities wherever possible.
Lead management of existing supplier contracts, ensure adherence and maximum profit for given level of risk.
Support the development and evaluation of business cases and pricing submissions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, financial processes and commercial systems.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial data, analysis, reporting and contract documentation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
High understanding of profit & loss and balance sheet concepts.
Sound knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, costing and cost analysis.
Interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage various stakeholders to achieve business outcomes with a relationship focus.
Skilled at managing budgets, and monitoring expenditures against them, both on an on-going and project basis.
Demonstrated ability to design and apply pricing modelling techniques used in business development, strategic planning and acquisitions.
High attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure data and reporting accuracy.
Postgraduate finance/management qualifications.
Detailed understanding of Operations, Contract Management, Logistics and Supply Chain in Aviation sector ideally.
Experience in SAP4HANA and Smartsheet desirable.
