Garment Technologist Fashion Retail | Full-Time Our client is a well-established fashion retail brand with a fast-paced, vertically integrated product team.
They are seeking an experienced Garment Technologist to join their Production team, working closely with Buyers and suppliers to ensure every style meets the brand's standards for fit, construction and quality from concept through to delivery.
This is a hands-on technical role at the centre of the product development process.
You will manage technical packs, lead daily fit sessions, and act as the critical link between the buying team and local and overseas suppliers, ensuring garments are delivered on time, to specification and to standard.
Key Responsibilities Provide accurate and commercially sound technical packs, specifying all construction, fabric and accessory details for every style being ranged and developed Ensure technical packs are sent to all suppliers within the set time frame for each range, including all relevant style information Facilitate daily fit sessions with Buyers, ensuring all fit changes and comments are processed with supporting notes and photos and clearly communicated to suppliers within delivery time frames Provide suppliers with the information and assistance needed relating to make,



fit and quality of each order Alert Buyers to any concerns about styles that may need extensions due to the number of fit rounds required Check, approve and file all bulk specs from suppliers, including grading and key size 10 measurements Fit all shipment samples prior to delivery to confirm measurement and quality requirements have been met, on a daily basis Complete merchandise report responses on behalf of the Production and Buying teams, and upload to the internal system to keep Store Managers informed weekly Communicate and liaise with local and overseas suppliers to resolve fit and grading queries and maintain delivery schedules Build strong working relationships with suppliers Ensure all supplier communication is clear, exact and appropriately urgent About You You will bring solid experience in garment technology, fit and construction within fashion retail, along with a strong eye for detail across specs, grading and quality.
You will be comfortable managing multiple ranges and suppliers at once, confident running fit sessions directly with Buyers, and able to communicate clearly and urgently with overseas and local supply partners.
