You will be responsible for: Preparing wholesome meals and snacks for children aged 6 months to 5 years.
Demonstrating extensive knowledge and experience in creating innovative and delicious meals for children, while adhering to special dietary requirements and intolerances.
Commitment to children's health and wellbeing, supporting their nutritional needs.
Ensuring food safety standards are met.
To be successful in this role you will need to have: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to positively interact with educators, children, families and the community each day A genuine passion for and interest in working with children and families.
Formal culinary training or equivalent experience in food preparation Experience in preparing meals for children, with an understanding of dietary requirements and food allergies Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures Experience in menu planning and nutrition guidance would be highly advantageous.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook on a casual basis for our Early Childhood Centre based in Bruce.
In this role, you will plan and prepare meals that meet the nutritional needs of children across different age groups, considering dietary requirements and intolerances.
As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will ensure the provision of nutritionally balanced meals, including catering for allergies and special dietary needs.
CRCS also requires all employees to: Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment.
Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may affect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position.




To have completed the National Child Safety Training in GECCKO To hold a current first aid and CPR This role also requires a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate CRCS has zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young children and young people.
As part of our commitment to child safeguarding, all employees are required to comply with our child safe policies and mandatory reporting requirements.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to child safety and undergo rigorous screening processes, including Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) checks.
