Our client is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team!
Duties and responsibilities: Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to determine installation requirements and establish installation reference points.
Install and commission commercial air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
Drill holes, install mounting brackets, and cut, bend, and thread piping as required for system installation.
Repair refrigeration and air conditioning components, including compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches, gauges, and associated pipework.
Connect equipment using bolting, soldering, brazing, welding, and other mechanical joining techniques.
Conduct pressure testing and leak detection by filling systems with gas or fluids and rectifying identified issues.
Test and commission refrigeration and air conditioning systems,



ensuring optimal performance and compliance with specifications.
Recover refrigerants using vacuum pumps and recharge systems in accordance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
Diagnose faults, overhaul refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and repair or replace defective components.
Adjust system controls, calibrate equipment, and reassemble systems following maintenance and repair work.
Complete reports and maintain accurate records of works completed, repairs undertaken, and corrective actions implemented.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian Standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
Requirements Relevant qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
Minimum of 2 - 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferred.
White Card (for on-site work) Working At Heights Elevated Platform under 11m Team player with attention to detail and punctuality Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $****** - $******* plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
