About the Opportunity
As the Waste and Resource Recovery Service Coordinator, you'll play a role in coordinating the day-to-day delivery of waste and resource recovery services across the City.
Working closely with contractors, internal teams and the community, you'll help ensure services are delivered effectively, issues are resolved quickly and customer expectations are met.
Supporting the Lead, Waste and Resource Recovery, you'll bring your operational knowledge and problem-solving skills to service coordination, contractor performance, reporting and continuous improvement.
You'll monitor service performance, contribute to project and contract management, and use data and industry knowledge to identify opportunities to improve how services are delivered.
You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to projects that support the City's waste and resource recovery priorities, including supporting initiatives that contribute to the City's 80% waste diversion target and broader sustainability goals.
From investigating new technologies, processes and service improvements to preparing reports, supporting business planning and coordinating responses to complex service issues, you'll apply sound judgement, take initiative and work collaboratively to deliver practical outcomes.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Highly self-motivated, with strong initiative and the confidence to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
You will be proactive in identifying opportunities, solving problems and delivering outcomes without needing to be directed at every step.
Comprehensive knowledge of waste and resource recovery principles and practices.
Handling multiple, complex situations and the ability to recommend, implement and monitor solutions or corrective actions to achieve positive outcomes.
Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with members of the public and community groups.
A positive, can-do attitude, take ownership of your work and be motivated to achieve outcomes.
You will be comfortable using your initiative, making informed decisions and stepping up when challenges arise.

Please be advised this is a full time, permanent opportunity with a starting salary at the Level 4 Classification commencing at $92,916 + 12% superannuation.
