About the Prospect Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a mining operation near Blackwater, QLD to source an experienced Senior HR Advisor.
This is a site-based role acting as 2IC to the HR Manager, ideal for someone who thrives on complex ER/IR work and wants to build the capability of a site HR function.
This is a fixed term contract role, running until the end of December ****, on a site-based 5/2 roster with one RDO per month.
Candidates can be local to Blackwater or DIDO from the surrounding areas.
No flights are provided.
Key Responsibilities Partner closely with leaders to provide practical, solutions-focused HR advice Act as 2IC to the HR Manager, supporting day-to-day leadership and site priorities Lead and manage complex employee relations and industrial relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, disputes, and escalations Coach leaders through challenging people scenarios with confidence and clarity Support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding Drive engagement, culture, and continuous improvement initiatives Use data and insights to inform workforce decisions and identify trends Ensure consistent,



compliant application of policies and site processes Coach and develop the HR Officer, building capability and strengthening the site HR function Drive improvements in HR systems, processes, and ways of working About You Previous site-based HR Advisor experience is essential (non-negotiable) Strong ER/IR experience, with the confidence to manage complex and sensitive cases end to end Sound knowledge of employment legislation and industrial frameworks Ability to build credibility quickly and influence at all levels of the business Calm under pressure and comfortable with ambiguity and competing priorities Takes ownership, shows initiative, and follows through on outcomes Practical, approachable, and outcome-focused What's on Offer Fixed term contract until the end of December **** Up to $165K base salary plus super Annual performance bonus Accommodation options: camp access or shared housing (subject to availability), or a Local Living Allowance if sourcing your own local accommodation How to Apply If you meet the above criteria and are looking for your next HR opportunity in mining, please apply on Seek.
