Day Shift: $***** per hour | 6:00am – 2:10pm

Afternoon Shift: $***** per hour | 2:00pm – 10:10pm

The Opportunity
n
We are seeking experienced Mobi-Con and Straddle Crane Operators to join our steel manufacturing client based in Sunshine.
n
The primary focus of this role is the safe and effective operation of Mobi-Con and Straddle Cranes to move and position steel products across the site.
n
You will also be required to operate overhead cranes, and when crane work is unavailable, assist the production team with general operational duties.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Operate Mobi-Con and Straddle Cranes safely and efficiently
n
Operate overhead cranes as required
n
Load, unload and position steel products
n
Safely manoeuvre steel products around the site
n
Conduct pre-start checks and report equipment issues
n
Assist production teams with general duties when crane work is unavailable
n




Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
n
Follow all site safety procedures and requirements
n
Communicate effectively with supervisors and operational teams
n
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
Current Crane Licence – essential
n
Current LF Forklift Licence – essential
n
Previous Mobi-Con and/or Straddle Crane experience
n
Previous overhead crane experience
n
Must successfully pass a full drug and alcohol test
n
Must be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident
n
Experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial environments highly regarded
n
Strong safety awareness
n
Physically fit and capable of manual handling and general operational duties
n
Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
n
Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a busy operational environment
n
n
